Color Memories of childhood toys, culture, and generations: An interdisciplinary project.

"On Seeing Toys" invites viewers to consider the significant role childhood toys play in shaping our identities and collective memories. These objects are not just tools for play; they are vessels of emotion and connection woven into our lives. In this project, each toy's owner shares personal narratives, revealing insights into its origins and the cherished memories it evokes. These stories are captured on video, creating a rich tapestry of experience tied to each object. The toys are then photographed in curated settings that enhance their narratives.

The images transform into a grid of vibrant color squares, encouraging viewers to engage from various distances. As you move closer or further away, the images shift, reflecting the evolving nature of our memories. "On Seeing Toys" celebrates the sensory richness of childhood and the emotional landscapes that shape who we are.
