This interdisciplinary study-abroad undergraduate course examines the Iguazú region of Misiones, Argentina, as a site where art, culture, ecology, memory, and conservation intersect. Through field-based and community-engaged research, students explore how relationships to place are shaped by cultural knowledge, environmental conditions, history, and systems of representation.

This FIU Study Abroad graduate seminar engages students in guided independent research across Buenos Aires and the Iguazú region of Misiones, Argentina. The program begins with an academic and cultural immersion in Buenos Aires, where students examine contemporary Argentine and Latin American art through visits to major museums, art institutions, galleries, and cultural sites before traveling to Iguazú National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
